Animation Survivor 2:
Out of Characters, Out of Energy, Out of Money

Author’s Notes
More of a rant than notes this time. I’ve noticed a lot of Survivor fics being posted lately. And while I’ll be the first to say that they definitely deserve a chance to shine, I do think it’s a little weird, and certainly raises the question- is this all because of Star Otaku? Was the success of her Anime Survivor so great that all others seek to continue it? As sad as it is, the answer’s probably yes. The simple fact that all of these are titled "Anime Survivor" or something very similar attest to that. For the record, there are zero "Anime Mole" fics, but there are a couple "Mole: Anime Style" or "Mole: Digimon Edition" out there (although I must admit "Anime Style" is actually pretty good). But what many fail to realize is that it wasn’t the concept that made Star’s Anime Survivor popular- it was the fact that it was a very well-written piece of fanfiction. My Animation Survivor was not an attempt to capitalize off the "fad," but rather an attempt to write another strong piece of fanfiction. Anyone who reads Animation Survivor will know I succeeded, with it being just as good as Star’s. So for those who do plan to write "Survivor" fics, as much as I encourage you to try to write something beautiful, make sure you have your priorities straight before thinking it’ll be an instant success. Anyway- on to Animation Survivor 2- which has one simple priority- make fun of Survivor, and said fanfic knockoffs of it. Here we go!

Introduction
(Sports commentator-style desk, with Artie, Manny, and Mike.)
Manny: And welcome back to Animation Survivor 2, the recap. After the utopia in the Japanese was destroyed, a big gap was created between the six Japanese castaways. Episodes 6-8 told the story of these problems, as well as how a merger between the two tribes royally screwed everything up.

Episode Six- Day Sixteen
(Helga and Phoebe are lounging around.)
Phoebe: Helga?

Helga: Yeah?

Phoebe: I’m worried.

Helga: ‘Bout what?

Phoebe: Wendy voting me off.

Helga: What’s there to be worried about? Wendy’s all alone. If we lose again, we all pick her off. No fuss. No muss.

Phoebe: I suppose you’re right. You and Gerald and Arnold don’t perceive me as a weak link?

Helga: Nah. We’re your buds, and the only weak links in this tribe are the ones that don’t go to P.S. 118.

Arnold: Pheobe’s a weak link. There’s no doubt about it.

Gerald: It’s a dilemma if I’ve ever seen one. She’s a weak link, but she’s our friend. What are we supposed to do?

(Japanese Tribe. Sakura and TK are talking as they work.)

Sakura: TK, I’m really glad you decided to change your vote. As much as I hated voting off Li, I couldn’t stand the way he voted off Madison. Seemed too underhanded to me.

TK: Yeah well, I’m kinda sorry I voted for Madison too. She was really a nice girl, and it’s a shame I got kinda caught up in everything. The big question is who we vote off if we lose again.

Sakura: Well, it’s pretty much down to two choices- Akito and Akito.

TK: Heh. I think we should give it a little more thought. Don’t you?

Sakura: Nope. He was as bad as Li, and deserves to be voted off.

TK: What about Sana?

Sakura: I’m willing to give Sana a second chance. She probably got caught up in the whole Mole thing just like you did. It just troubled me that she still voted for Davis.

TK: Yeah, I know. I guess we can still try to get them on good terms before the merger.

Sakura: Sana maybe. But I’m sorry- I don’t want Akito on my team. If we have to vote somebody off, I want it to be him. If not, I’d rather just not have him in my alliance. I say we get Sana, leave Akito out of it, and not worry about it.

TK: I suppose. He’s extremely sly, unpredictable, and willing to jump to the other side for the slightest reason… I wouldn’t want him on my team.

Sakura: Exactly. We’re trying to beat the Americans again, we’re better off without him.

TK: Besides, what’s he going to do about it?

(Sakura and TK smile as Sana runs in and grabs TK’s arm.)

Sana: TK TK TK! You didn’t vote off the idiot!

TK: Sana, I like Davis! He’s my friend! I don’t want to be in any alliance which forces me to vote my friends off.

Sana: Aw, you’re no fun.

Sakura: Sana, why did you vote for Davis?

Sana: Davis is an idiot and a threat to win! Akito said so himself!

Sakura: I thought you said you don’t trust Akito.

Sana: I don’t! But Li said it too! I trust Li!

Sakura: Why?

Sana: I ‘unno.

TK: Well, whatever the reason, don’t worry about it. We’re all together when we merge, right?

Sakura: (joking) Except Akito.

Sana: Why not Akito?

Sakura: You said you didn’t trust him.

Sana: I don’t! He’s my worst enemy and greatest rival! But he’s also my best friend, so I can’t just leave him alone.

(Sana bounces away)

TK: So is she with us or not?

Sakura: I’m… not sure.

Day Seventeen
(Shot of the reward challenge, as both Arnold and Davis are leading their tribes, who are blindfolded, through a series of tasks.)

Artie: (VO) In impressive fashion, the Americans are able to secure a victory in the reward challenge, earning a much-needed picnic lunch.

(Shot of Arnold, watching as the Japanese Tribe walks away, dejectedly.)

Arnold: Hey, you know they did this last time- wanna share with them?

(The other Americans look at him oddly.)

Helga/Gerald/Wendy: Why??

Arnold: It was just an idea. It’s not like they’re bad people, just our opponents. What’s wrong with trying to show a friendly gesture now and then?

Helga: Football-head has a little problem with courtesy. I mean, we’re in a game of cutthroats, why would we be nice to our opponents when we’re trying to beat them?

(Akito is out fishing with Kari.)

Kari: Akito, I’m sure you think it’s a bit strange that I asked to go fishing with you.

Akito: I don’t find it strange at all.

Kari: Oh. Well…

Akito: I know you have a crush on me.

(Kari sweatdrops and looks around nervously.)

Kari: Um… actually it’s not about that. I want to talk about how we’re going to go into the merger.

Akito: Why do we have to talk? I do my own thing.

Kari: That’s just it. For now, we should be going in together, and I want to make sure that we’re on the same page.

Akito: I don’t share pages, I write my own.

Kari: Akito, I’m serious, I mean…

Akito: I’m a little surprised that you have a crush on me. After all, you aren’t ugly.

(Kari stares at Akito nervously, then jumps out of the boat and swims to shore.)

Akito: Jumping into crocodile-infested waters. She’s weirder than Sana.

Day Eighteen
(Manny appears in front of challenge beach.)
Manny: It’s a bit of a departure from the usual recaps, but for fear of the inevitable angry letters we’d receive because of the controversy surrounding the immunity challenge in this episode, we can not show complete videos of it. The pictures are bad enough…

(Still frame of Sakura and Helga jousting with pugel sticks.)

Manny: (VO) And since this is a family friendly show…

(Still frame of the eleven, all in the deep part of the river. It’s a bloody mess of arms and legs tangled up together.)

Manny: (VO) We must maintain our integrity and not show anything which would be considered offensive…

(Still frame of Akito in a chicken suit, running down the beach.)

Manny: (VO) …so we’ll just inform you that the Japanese won immunity this round. And we will never speak of this immunity challenge again.

Tribal Council
(Shot of Phoebe, voting for "WENDY")
Phoebe: The battle of epic proportions rages on. Victories have been attained on both sides, but only one will emerge victorious!

(Shot of Wendy, voting for "PHOEBE")
Wendy: If she hadn’t [string of incessant beeps] in the immunity challenge, we would have won it!

(Shot of Helga, voting for "WENDY")
Helga: Well, sayonara Wendy! Wait… we’re supposed to be the American tribe. Edit that out, okay?

(Shot of Arnold, voting for "PHOEBE")
Arnold: I’m sorry, I just can’t let Wendy not make the merger. She’s done more than Phoebe has, and I think it isn’t fair for only the kids from my show to make the merger.

(Manny is tallying the votes, pulling out one for Phoebe.)

Manny: And that’s two for Phoebe and Wendy. The final vote…

(Shot of the kids, looking nervous.)

Manny: Helga.

Helga: (OS) What??!!

(As Manny explains the tie-breaker rules, Artie narrates)

Artie: (VO) Oh, goody, a tie! Those are always fun, right? Unless the loser sues. But that’s Tom’s fault, so I don’t have to worry about it. Gerald must now decide between Phoebe or Wendy. There’s no turning back now!!

(Manny is about to read off the final tie-breaker vote.)

Manny: The deciding vote, and the fourth person voted off of the American Tribe is…

(Manny holds out the card.)

Manny: Phoebe.

Artie: (VO) What??!!

(Phoebe silently goes to get her torch. Gerald looks sad. Arnold does too, but he feels secure in his decision. Helga just looks pissed.)

Episode Six Voting Record
Phoebe- (2): Arnold, Wendy
Wendy- (2): Helga, Phoebe
Helga- (1): Gerald
Tie-Breaker: Arnold, Gerald vote Phoebe, Helga votes Wendy

Episode Seven- Day Nineteen
(Pan around to show several Japanese seated around the fire. First show Sakura, looking serious. Pan over to Kari, then to Davis, then TK, then to Sana. Show all of them, as TK stands up and smiles.)

TK: Last time, the Japanese Tribe came in extremely disorganized, and the Americans were able to come in as a group, and vote off Misty, and then Izzy and Sora later. Tai was really lucky to have won. But now is our chance to learn from their mistakes, come in prepared, with a 5-4 advantage, and secure our tribe’s victory before we worry about playing for ourselves.

Davis: Sounds good but I have one question…

TK: Yes Davis?

Davis: Who the heck is Misty?

(Sana, TK, and Kari face fault.)

TK: Uh… never mind.

Kari: She’s just some girl from another show that Tai had a crush on. Boy was I sick of hearing about her when he got back last time.

Davis: Oh… (to Kari) Misty’s a nice name, should I start calling you Misty?

Kari: Please don’t.

Davis: Okay. Kari’s a prettier name anyway.

TK: Davis, we’re trying to talk about alliances.

Davis: Aw, forget alliances, let’s talk about Kari.

TK: (annoyed) Davis…

Davis: Hey, why don’t you let me have her, T-Bay? You’ve got Sana.

(TK looks over at Sana, who’s staring up at him with longing eyes.)

Sana: (cute) TK-chan…

TK: Would you stop calling me that?

Sakura: Um, I’d hate to interrupt, but I’d like to get back on topic before this degenerates into an episode of Ranma.

Sana: Aya! You tell him Sakura!

(Sakura sweatdrops)

TK: Okay, okay, the big question is obviously who we vote off first. Let’s just go around and get ideas. For example, I say Arnold. Davis?

Davis: Hm? I think Helga.

Kari: I agree with TK. I think Arnold too.

(Sana recognizes the threat and hugs TK)

Sana: TK-chan’s mine!

TK: (annoyed) Sakura?

Sakura: Well I for one think we should get rid of Akito. We still have an advantage and Akito might try to jump to the other side. Let’s just get rid of him now.

Sana: What? Not Akito! I like Akito.

Davis: Sakura’s right, we’re not safe when he’s around.

Sana: But we can’t vote off Akito! He’s the gloomy, dark part of the tribe. We need him!

Sakura: Sana, if you want to be in an alliance, you’re going to have to vote for people you like. It’s a problem.

TK: Hey, hey, Sakura. Let’s not go nuts. I mean, I think Akito’s probably a good choice too, but shouldn’t we vote off somebody from the other team first?

Sakura: No, why should we? Akito’s creeping me out.

Sana: I can’t believe you Sakura! You liked Hayama before.

Sakura: I liked Hayama before because I was trying to get info from him. I thought he was the Mole, remember?

(Sana and Sakura are really starting to argue now. TK, and Kari just look at each other and frown. Davis watches Sakura.)

(Over on the American side, Gerald is arriving back with merging instructions. Helga and Wendy are staring at each other with cruel intentions. Arnold is standing protectively in front of the campfire. Gerald goes up to Arnold.)

Gerald: What’s goin’ on?

Arnold: Helga and Wendy are spitting fire at each other.

Gerald: What are you doing?

Arnold: Making sure that doesn’t become a literal expression. What do you have?

Gerald: Merger info. Bad news too. Apparently the females on our tribe are supposed to go over to the other team’s camp.

Arnold: You mean to say that Helga and Wendy have to walk four miles alone?

Gerald: That’s gonna be messy.

(Montage of shots of both sides preparing their camps for the arrivals.)

Manny: (VO) Both teams, for the first time, will be able to see the other tribe’s campsite. Needless to say, both sides want to create a good an impression as possible.

(Shot of Gerald and Arnold, relaxing on the beach.)

Gerald: We’ve made our beds, made everything look nice. Now- bring on the women!

(Arnold smiles, as they do their traditional hand knock-thing.)

Akito: (OS) Hm. American girls aren’t as cute as I had originally heard.

(Arnold and Gerald look up at TK, Davis, and Akito, standing outside camp.)

(Sakura and Sana have gotten into yet another argument about Akito. Kari just stands there, annoyed, as Helga and Wendy arrive. Kari shows up and greets both of them.)

Kari: Hi, welcome to our camp. It’s a little messy but…

(She stops when she notices the distance that Helga and Wendy are at, and that they both look pissed at each other. She turns back over at Sakura and Sana.)

Kari: Looks like you two will fit right in… (sotto) so much for tribal loyalty.

Wendy: Phoebe was a pest, and kept costing immunity. That’s bad enough. But Helga- she’s just a bitch!

Sakura: Sana’s stubborn. Always has been, always will be. And that’s not too much of a problem when you’re on the same side, but when you’re trying to convince her that what she’s thinking is wrong, it becomes a serious problem.

(Montage of the ten arriving at a new camp and setting up.)

Manny: (VO) Without a hot spring at either camp, it would be a major hassle deciding which camp to move to. So we just pick a different spot and go there!

Arnold: It’s an interesting change of pace. We had problems, especially between Helga and Wendy. But now we have this new group of kids to live with, and it’s a little bit easier, since we have somebody to talk to now. People like TK, Davis, and Sana are right in there and open, and it’s becoming very easy to make new friends.

Day Twenty
(Sakura and Davis are fishing.)

Sakura: So you’re going to talk to TK and Kari about this?

Davis: No problem, I’m right on it! What about Sana?

Sakura: It’s something Sana’s going to have to live with. We can’t afford to have Akito mess everything up. We still would have an advantage. The Americans aren’t as organized as I thought they’d be.

Davis: I ‘unno. Arnie and Gerry seemed pretty buddy-buddy.

Sakura: That’s only two of them. As long as we can keep it between us five, we should do okay.

Davis: Okay, sounds good. So we take out blondie now and then maybe one of the Americans next.

Sakura: Exactly. We can keep Sana, as long as she doesn’t do anything stupid.

(TK and Kari are alone improving the new shelter.)

Kari: Still thinking Arnold for tomorrow night?

TK: Yep. I know Akito’s kinda conniving. I mean, he tricked me into voting off Madison, but I think we need to get it down to three Americans. Arnold and Gerald seem really close, while Helga and Wendy are kinda at odds, so it makes sense that Arnold’s voted off first.

Kari: Agreed.

(Davis is walking through the woods for no real reason. Gerald runs up to him.)

Gerald: Hey man!

Davis: Huh? Oh hey… uh, Gerald.

Gerald: What’re you doing?

Davis: Walking through the woods for no real reason.

Gerald: Hey look man. You’ve seen how everything’s been screwy on our side. Helga and Wendy are going at it, Arnold voted Phoebe off. It’s just been weird. And I was just thinkin’ of you know… doing some defecting.

Davis: Hm?

Gerald: You know, play along with you guys’s alliance? Who’re you voting for?

Davis: Oh, well me and Sakura were thinking that Akito was probably the best bet.

Gerald: Akito? He seems okay. Why him?

Davis: He just acts really sneaky. I mean, Sakura thinks the first thing he’s going to do is jump over to your side and vote us off. We don’t want those kind of people on our team. No defectors allowed!!

Gerald: Yeah, that’s a pretty good idea. Mind if I join in?

Davis: Hey man, the more the merrier!!

(Davis and Gerald shake hands)

Davis: I gotta go tell the other guys…

(TK and Kari are continuing a conversation.)

TK: …and that’s why Matt and Sora are such a big item now.

Kari: Yeah, that makes a lot of sense. I never really pictured those two together, but that clears everything up. Thanks.

(Davis walks in.)

Davis: Hey guys, I got great news! Gerald said that…

(Sana runs in and hugs TK)

Sana: TK-chan!

TK: Sana… what’s this for?

Sana: I ‘unno. Just because I feel like it! Everybody needs a hug! I get dibs on TK! Kari! You hug Davis!!

(TK and Kari just look at Sana oddly. Davis smiles.)

Davis: Yeah! Kari, you hug Davis!!

TK: Look, Sana, why do you keep doing this? I don’t really like you in this way…

Sana: But you’re so cute! Isn’t he cute Kari…

(Kari tries holding back her laughter, then fails. She bursts out laughing.)

Kari: Sure is!

Sana: See!

(Sana kisses TK on the cheek.)

Kari: (cheery) I think I’m going to leave you two alone. C’mon Davis, what did you want to tell me about?

(Kari takes Davis by the arm and leads him away. Davis takes a strong look at Sana.)

Davis: Uh… nothing.

Davis: Sana likes Akito for some reason, and if we get rid of him, we won’t hear the last of it from Sana. And if Sana’s distracting TK, then I have a clear shot at Kari!!

Day Twenty-One
(In a challenge where the last one standing on an elevated platform wins, Arnold, Davis, Sakura, Sana, and Wendy are remaining.)

Artie: (OS) After six hours of this extremely exciting, action packed challenge involving standing in place, five survivors are… surviving.

Wendy: Oh… what the hell. I beat Helga.

(Wendy jumps off. Arnold looks over to Sakura.)

Arnold: Hey… Sakura?

Sakura: Yes?

Arnold: How, uh… exactly are we supposed to beat them in their condition?

(Pan over to Sana and Davis, who have both fallen asleep, standing up. Both are remarkably keeping their balance.)

Sakura: Um… I’m sure they’ll fall off soon.

(Three hours later…)

Arnold: Sakura… I don’t think so.

(Arnold jumps off.)

Sakura: That’s probably a good idea. I don’t think I could win a game like this anyway.

(Sakura jumps off as well.)

(An hour later, Davis and Sana are still asleep. The other eight, plus Manny, are waiting on the beach.)

Helga: This is extremely boring. If they aren’t going to wake up, I’m going to wake them up myself!

(Helga goes out, but Akito stops her.)

Akito: I can wake them up.

Arnold: How?

Akito: Actually… TK can.

TK: Me?

Akito: Just tell Sana to wake up.

TK: Oh, uh… (calling out) Sana! Wake up!

(Shot of Sana, who wakes up and looks at TK, and perks up.)

Sana: TK-chan!!

(Sana trips immediately and falls into the water. Back on the beach.)

Helga: Is she some kind of idiot?

Manny: Congrats Davis! You have won immunity!

(Davis is still asleep)

Kari: (OS) Davis! Wake up!

(Davis wakes up, looks at Kari, and immediately trips and falls into the water.)

Tribal Council
(Shot of TK, voting for "ARNOLD.")
TK: If anybody seems to be a threat to win it all from your team, it’s you.

(Shot of Kari, voting for "ARNOLD.")
Kari: It’s not something I like doing, but I feel a lot more comfortable in an alliance. Remember- there’s strength in numbers.

(Shot of Sakura, voting for "AKITO.")
Sakura: I’m worried that he’s going to jump to the other team. I don’t know what kind of an alliance the Americans have got, but I don’t want to have to deal with him as well.

(Shot of Akito, voting for "SAKURA.")
Akito: Worried about me jumping to the other team? You should be.

(Shot of Sana, voting for "SAKURA.")
Sana: I’m sorry, but if you don’t want to keep Akito, you can’t be my friend. He’s my worst enemy, but I can’t let you vote him off.

(Shot of Gerald, voting for "SAKURA." He’s smiling and shaking his head.)
Gerald: This is too easy.

(Manny is about to read off the final vote.)

Manny: And the first person voted out of the… (sighs) Bunchalosers Tribe…

(Gerald turns to Arnold.)

Gerald: We shouldn’t have let Helga and Hayama pick the name.

(Back to Manny, as he holds out Sakura’s last card. And it ain’t the Hope Card!)

Manny: Sakura.

(Sakura takes her torch to Manny.)

Mike: (VO) Ladies and gentlemen… the game has begun.

Episode Seven Voting Record
Sakura- (4): Akito, Arnold, Gerald, Sana
Akito- (2): Davis, Sakura
Arnold- (2): Kari, TK
Helga- (1): Wendy
Wendy- (1): Helga

Episode Eight- Day Twenty-Two
(Shot of a handshake between Sana and Gerald. Arnold and Akito are standing next to them.)

Gerald: Welcome aboard!

Sana: Happy to be on a winning team!

Arnold: Well, don’t get cocky yet. There’s four of us, and five of them.

Gerald: Like who Arnold? Helga? Davis? The same Davis who told me Akito was thinking of jumping to our team?

Arnold: I’m just saying, victory isn’t guaranteed.

Sana: Nope, it takes hard work, so let’s all do our best!

Arnold: Exactly.

Arnold: Alliances are necessary in this game, and if you aren’t in one, you don’t have much of a chance of winning. And as much as I’d rather play a fair game, I also am trying to win. And an alliance with Gerald and the Child’s Toy kids are the best way to do it. There’s nothing stopping Helga and the others from joining an alliance, and if they do, and they vote me off, then they’ve beaten me fairly.

(Davis is talking to TK and Kari.)

TK: Why didn’t you tell me you and Sakura voted for Akito?

Davis: I guessed it slipped my mind. Sorry guys.

Kari: Well, no matter what, us three have to stick together now. Are you with us in voting Arnold this time?

Davis: Well, since Sakura only got four votes, I don’t know if Akito really jumped or not… so sure!

Day Twenty-Three
(Wendy is tossing a boomerang for the reward challenge. It flies around and lands outside of a large target on the ground.)

Manny: (VO) The winner of this boomerang toss receives a fancy dinner with a friend. After five throws, Akito is ahead.

(Helga throws it, and it lands closer than Akito’s making her the new leader.)

Helga: Ha! Tough luck Akito, you don’t stand a chance against me.

Akito: Mm.

(Sana throws it. It doesn’t come back.)

(Davis throws it. It turns around and smacks Akito in the head.)

Akito: Mm.

(Arnold throws it. It comes extremely close to Helga’s. After a measurement, it is determined that Helga’s is closer.)

Arnold: (a bit down) Congratulations Helga.

Helga: Ha! Famous last words of the loser!

Manny: Congratulations Helga. Now the big question is which one of these fine eight you would like to share your bounty with.

Helga: Hmm… let’s see. That’s a tough one.

(Shot of everybody.)

Helga: Ah, what the heck. Ya got it right in there with me, so come on football-head.

(Arnold walks up.)

Arnold: Me? Really?

Helga: (dismissive) Yeah, yeah, don’t be getting any ideas though.

Arnold: It was really nice of Helga to take me for dinner. I mean, she’s really nice sometimes. Strange to say it, but we had a lot of fun.

Helga: (dreamy) I can’t believe it! I actually, finally, truly went on a date with Arnold! If only could have expressed my true feelings for him then and there but…
(Helga stares at the camera.)
Helga: Hold on a sec…
(Helga covers up the camera with her hand.)
Helga: Tell the dips in charge to edit this part out or you’re going to have to answer to Old Betsy. Understand?
Cameraman: Yes ma’am!

(TK and Kari are sitting out on the beach.)

TK: You know, Helga and Wendy have that thing against each other…

Kari: Yeah?

TK: I have this funny feeling that Wendy’s not in any alliance. It’s just Arnold, Gerald, Helga, and Akito.

Kari: You know, I bet you’re right. But who voted for Wendy last night?

TK: I don’t know. Possibly Sana. If she didn’t want to vote off Akito, Arnold, or Sakura, she may have just did that for no reason.

(They look over, and see Sana and Wendy fishing. Sana is rapping, while Wendy just looks annoyed.)
Wendy: You’re scaring the fish away!

(Back to TK and Kari.)

Kari: Well, we need to figure out how to get Wendy or Sana back into the alliance. I don’t know about you, but I’d like to follow in my big brother’s footsteps.

TK: Not me!

Kari: Why not?

TK: Matt was the first person voted off the tribe last time!

Kari: Oh yeah…

Wendy: Kari tried to get me to join their alliance and vote off Arnold. But I think it’s actually a bad idea to be in an alliance with everything going on. If I just stay under the radar and keep voting for Helga, I can let the numbers dwindle down without being targeted. And besides, Arnold showed a lot of guts not voting for me before the merger, so I kinda owe it to him. You know what they say- "get an inch, take a mile!"

Day Twenty-Three
(A strange, puzzle type immunity challenge. TK is shown placing markers inside it.)
Manny: (VO) After a grueling physically-demanding challenge involving strategy, TK comes out on top and wins immunity.

TK: I’m glad I won. I’m not at any risk, and it’s really relieving. But I don’t want my friends to be at risk either, so I’m taking drastic measures to avoid one of us getting voted off tonight.

(Sana is walking along the beach when TK runs up and puts an arm around her shoulder.)

TK: Hey Sana!

Sana: TK-chan!

TK: Yep, how’s it going?

Sana: TK-chan!!

TK: Great. Say, could you do me a big favor tonight? I really need your help.

Sana: Yeah?

TK: Me and Kari and the others were really hoping you’d vote for Arnold tonight. I know he’s really nice, but we don’t want him winning, right?

Sana: Not if he votes off TK-chan!

TK: Exactly. He can’t vote me off this time, but you never know. I might not get immunity next time. So if you could vote off Arnold, it’ll help me out a lot.

Sana: Thanks TK-chan!!

(Sana kisses him on the cheek and bounces off.)

Kari: I’m very nervous right now. I don’t know what’s going to happen, and I have to be ready for anything. The only thing I’m happy about is that TK can’t be voted off. He’s a great guy that likes to play by the rules, and doesn’t go around hurting people to get what he wants. He deserves to stay. The problem is that Davis and I also deserve to stay, and we don’t have one of those ugly necklaces around our neck. So I’m very nervous.

Tribal Council
(Shot of Wendy, voting for "HELGA")
Wendy: It’s going to get really boring watching me here, but this is my strategy and I’m sticking to it!

(Shot of TK, voting for "ARNOLD." He appears confident.)
TK: Sorry, but I’m trying as hard as I can to make sure you don’t vote my friends off. I know it seems a little underhanded, but it’s just part of the game, right?

(Shot of Sana, voting for "DAVIS")
Sana: Akito told me what you did TK-chan. That was mean and dirty and I almost fell for it. But I still love ya lots TK!!!

(Shot of Arnold, voting for "DAVIS")
Arnold: It’s a real shame TK won immunity, because what he did was absolutely disgusting. Trying to woo a girl to get her to vote with him. It’s a crying shame.

(Shot of Helga, voting for "DAVIS")
Helga: What can I say? Arnold wooed me into it.

(Shot of Manny, reading the final vote for Davis. Davis looks disappointed, and complies.)
Artie: (VO) My, how the tables have turned. After going in with a two-person advantage, the Japanese Tribe is now even with the Americans. What a development!

Episode Eight Voting Record
Davis- (5): Akito, Arnold, Gerald, Helga, Sana
Arnold- (3): Davis, TK, Kari
Helga- (1): Wendy

(In the commentary room, the shot of Davis is replaced with the logo.)
Manny: Well, that was certainly interesting.

Artie: Interesting?! That was phenomenal! What a comeback for the Americans!

Manny: And an alliance between Hey Arnold and Child’s Toy… wow.

Artie: It only goes to prove that your show does not need to be about giant monsters and saving the world to kick total booty!

Mike: And Sakura also takes the boot. Manny, you do realize that out of the six characters you’ve had in this game, the only one that was even capable of making the seven-person jury was that idiot Tracey.

Manny: (annoyed) Thanks for that reminder Mike.

Mike: I’m just saying. I’ve had seven in, and six have made the jury.

Manny: Five… Tai wasn’t in the jury.

Mike: Oh yeah. Even less if TK or Kari make the finals.

Artie: But they don’t have a prayer! The "Arnold’s Toy" alliance has claimed Sakura Avalon and Davis Motomiya as it’s first victims, are more on their way?

Manny: Don’t forget Phoebe was also voted off.

Artie: That was a mistake and they know it!

Mike: When we come back, things get really wild as the contestants have passed the half-way point. Can the Arnold’s Toy alliance eliminate the last of its competition?

Artie: Hell yeah!!

Manny: There’s only one way to find out, and unfortunately it’s through this sorry piece of work. Be sure to tune in… if you’ve got nothing better to do.
